I read Chasten Buttigieg’s memoir, “I Have Something To Tell You: A Memoir,” and was so moved by it that I wanted to send him a copy of mine in gratitude for all he’s done for LGBTQ youth. I mailed it to his husband in the hopes it would get to Chasten.
I addressed the package to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Washington, DC, not knowing if it would ever find its way to Pete Buttigieg. But it did. This letter from Pete arrived three days ago. (My address is redacted.)
What a kind and inspiring human being he is. I will be framing this.
